MYDIGITAL MAKER VIRTUAL FAIR NEGERI KEDAH “#MaiReka” 2021 ON 24 – 30 OCT 2021

The #MyDigitalMaker Virtual Fair “Maireka” Kedah 2021 program which has taken place from 24 October 2021 until 30 October 2021.

The program, which was held for the first time virtually, has managed to attract the participation of 7,695 participants compared to the initial target of 5,450 participants consisting of primary and secondary school students as well as teachers and counsellors from all over Kedah.

Kedah Chief Minister, Muhammad Sanusi Md. Nor said the program was a strategy in line with the government’s mission at the federal and state levels in producing digital talent that is resistant to challenges in the future, which can indirectly drive economic growth, especially on digital economy.

The are 3 segments in the program; Workshop Segment, Seminar Segment and Competition Segment which highlights various modules such as robotics technology and creation of ‘makers’, ‘digital marketing’, basic workshops for 3D design, programming, coding, application development, ‘drone’ and animation workshops and multimedia which have been successfully implemented during the digital fair.

This success did not come in rolls, but it was a great contribution from various parties. The #MyDigitalMaker movement under the support of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) which is currently implemented in the Kedah Digital Centre (KDC) module as the State Digital Training Centre under Kedah State Communications and Multimedia Committee.

The Closing Ceremony of #MyDigitalMaker Virtual Fair “Maireka” Kedah 2021 has been held online at Wisma Darul Aman with the presence of YAB Chief Minister of Kedah on 30 October 2021.

Also, physically present are the Chairman of the State Information, Communication and Multimedia, Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Committee, YB Romani Wan Salin; Director of the State Economic Planning Division, En. Muhammad Mahazi Ibrahim; Group Chief Executive Officer of Kulim Technology Park Corporation Sdn. Bhd., Tuan Hj. Mohd Sahil Zabidi and Deputy Director (Student Management Sector) of the Kedah State Education Department, En. Sabri Othman.

The ‘tagline’ introduced by the organizers, ‘MaiReka’, coincides with the goal of organizing this program, which is to encourage creativity and innovation among participants in addressing challenges in digital transformation.
